Alisha Rankin, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of history in the School of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University.  Courses that she has developed focus on Renaissance and Reformation Europe, gender and family, science and technology in world history, medieval and early modern medicine, and the history of the book.  She is the author of Panaceia’s Daughters: Noblewomen as Healers in Early Modern Germany and the coeditor of Secrets and Knowledge in Medicine and Science, 1500–1800.
