The Office of Communications and Marketing provides a wide range of strategic communications services through three primary groups:

  • Content: Tells the Tufts story using all available communications and marketing channels , including websites, social media, and print, and using all available media, including photography and multimedia. The team manages the Tufts homepage and upper-level pages, its main social media channels, and the university’s events calendar, and produces the weekly Tufts Announcements email. The team produces the university's flagship Tufts Magazine as well as the news site Tufts Now, and One Tufts, a publication for donors to and friends of the university. Tufts Photo provides news and marketing photography for Tufts' communications and the university community.
  • Marketing and Branding: Produces a wide range of digital and print communications – from event invitations to integrated marketing campaigns – serving advancement and enrollment marketing priorities. The group oversees the university’s visual identity. The team also partners with Tufts Technology Services to provide Drupal web design, development and hosting services to university clients.
  • Media Relations: Keeps the university’s profile high, positive and in support of the Tufts brand across all external news media. The team also provides issues and crisis management and helps develop special communications plans.
