Peter Levine, Ph.D., is the director of the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) and the Lincoln Filene Professor of Citizenship & Public Affairs in Tufts University’s Jonathan Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service. He was the Executive Committee chair of the Campaign for the Civic Mission of Schools and has served in numerous other advocacy roles. He has published several books and numerous articles on politics, civil society, the Internet, moral philosophy, and literature, and is widely known for his deep understanding of youth civic engagement.
