Dr. Rentko is a board-certified veterinary internist and medical director of the Hospital for Large Animals and the Foster Hospital for Small Animals at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Previously, she was the vice president of preclinical research at Biopure Corporation where she worked on the development of the first commercially successful blood substitute for dogs in the United States and Europe.
