Mort Rosenberg, D.M.D., is Head of the Division of Anesthesia and Pain Control in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and an Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Tufts University School of Medicine.
A nationally recognized leader and educator in dental sedation and anesthesia, Dr. Rosenberg is an expert in the clinical application of nitrous oxide-oxygen, enteral, intravenous and intramuscular sedation and general anesthesia. He teaches and trains medical anesthesia residents and nurse anesthetist students; oral surgical, pediatric, periodontal, general practice, and dental anesthesia residents; dental assistants; and dental hygienists.
He is the co-editor of Medical Emergencies in Dentistry and has authored 17 chapters and numerous papers in peer-reviewed anesthesia, medical and dental journals on subjects ranging from the basic science of anesthetic agents to the introduction of newer techniques and drugs.
His research interests include the use of high fidelity human simulation in crisis management and the introduction of newer pharmacologic agents for sedation in the ambulatory setting.
