David M. Gute, Ph.D., M.P.H., is an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Tufts School of Engineering. He holds joint appointments with the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine, as well as at the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. Dr. Gute’s research interests are found at the intersection of public health and engineering. His current projects span the identification and control of occupational health risks among immigrant populations in Somerville, Massachusetts, to the primary prevention of urinary schistosomiasis in the eastern region of Ghana.
