Dr.  Rutberg is the director of the Center for Animals in Public Policy and a research assistant professor at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.  A behavioral ecologist and urban wildlife specialist, he evaluates wildlife management practices and focuses primarily on white-tailed deer ecology and conflicts. He researches contraception to manage deer and wild horse populations and has extended his contraception work to other countries.
