Laurence Senelick, Ph. D., is Fletcher Professor of Drama and Oratory and director of graduate studies in drama at Tufts University. His expertise is in Russian theater and drama, history of popular entertainment, gender and performance, history of directing and classical theory. He is the author of over 20 books on theater history and dramatic theory and is a practicing actor, director and translator.
